Your background definitely matches the lovely fall season going on now. Poor Tara doesn't realise how much she's valued by her former master and friends. I wouldn't be surprised if he shed a tear after she left.
Yes... Background is fine as always, otherwise, something is in development or there is something hinted that probably becomes important later... so... yeah... Panel 3 is movie material, but... idk... it's so integrated into the flow of the page that it feels... kinda natural... and doesn't somehow... stand out... like... as if that was the best way... no, rather as if no other way would have worked... but that's me taking the page apart... which I feel I shouldn't do...
Tl;dr: Still "..." I mean I probably have some fuzzy idea about this page but the best way I can think of to express any & all of it is "..." (keeping silent / waiting (silently) / observing). :D
(Also, I may be a bit socially challenged. It's not that I lack empathy but sometimes I can't "read" people. Or scenes. Here I can't shake off the feeling that I miss something, but consciously I don't think I do. Most likely things will become clearer later on. So on that level also "...")
Edit: Backgrounds... why call them backgrounds, in the last panel the background is also the foreground and the side-ground...
thanks! I'm glad you like it. Don't worry, I just wanted to make sure I didn't offend you or something. Panel flow is tricky but I feel like, in this case, I have to keep it a little vague so it's intriguing. Maybe it just made you confused but, it's ok! you live and learn.
Just to avoid a misunderstanding: The panel flow is IMHO just perfect, at least I cannot imagine a better one. "Swinging the viewer around" like in the first 3 panels is a great idea and avoids confusion when you need to have the viewer inside the house to show the crying boy.
Sorry, I couldn't express it better.
(I was 50/50 about making the "..." comment or none at all, I should at least have put a smilie in it.)
oh my god! i wanted to jump in the page and walk on that path, let the rays that find their way through the leaves hit my face;exquisite. I'm also growing more fond of the antler character. i really like the face and legs its his body that throws me off. i think its the girth of it.
I'm gonna take that as good silence?

Though I guess these things are always subjective.
